Holland’s house & techno kingpin De Sluwe Vos (Dutch for The Sly Fox) kept his best work until now to be released on his own Patron imprint. A (Glitched) Lovestory EP is the second release on the label.
All tracks have their own narrative to the story. De Sluwe Vos: ‘’With this EP I would like to give a tribute to the old wave, acid and electro records who have always given me inspiration in the studio. At the same time I wanted it to sound as the 21st century.’’
The first narrative to the story is the title track which draws you into a dark, while romantic and euphoric love story. Following is ‘They came knocking’ which is your dark and obscure peak timer built on a forcing bassline and razor sharp synths, where lurid hi hats and rolling snares are performing their dance. ‘When the fields collapsed’ is the next track which let’s the floor drop right from under you while listening to it. The low tempo and synths get under your skin and causes you to become lost in the sound. The EP finishes off with ‘Repave’ which fits perfectly on the dancefloor of a dark and sweaty club.
